Story
Wagashi Shop Marushin has been part of Yoshikawa’s confectionery scene for six decades, passing the craft of wagashi from one generation to the next. Its signature castella, made without sugar crystals, remains a local favorite.
History
Founded more than 60 years ago, the shop continues its family-run tradition. The creator’s video shows Grandpa Tats making the castella that brings customers back.
How to visit
Open 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with Tuesdays off. Try the castella for a taste of 60 years of craftsmanship.
