Story
Sabo Okuno Shibuya sits in a quiet residential neighborhood between Shibuya City and Yoyogi-Hachiman. Owner Yasumasa Era spent more than 20 years running Shimura, a long-established kakigori shop in Mejiro. His shop is now among Tokyo’s most closely watched destinations for Japanese sweets.
History
Opened in April 2023, the shop continues to draw queues. It occupies the former home of Sebastian, a legendary name among kakigori enthusiasts.
How to visit
You can reserve ahead and ask for items to be held. Booking is advisable if you have your eye on white peach or other flavors that tend to sell out.
